Hi, I'm Claire! I'm a fourth-year student in Computer Engineering at McMaster University, Hamilton, ON.
I’ve always had a passion for both aspects of robotics (i.e. programming, modeling) and design (i.e. digital arts). I thoroughly enjoyed working on these projects and hope that I will be able to one day be apart of similar ones on a bigger scope.
Below are detailed summaries of all my projects!
<aside> 📻 The scope of this project was to develop a software implementation of a radio receiver that was capable of processing FM broadcast signals in real-time. Our objective was to create a system that could accurately extract IQ samples and demodulate FM signals, extract mono and stereo audio channels, and decode Radio Data System (RDS) information.

<aside> 💻 This project consisted of building an embedded spatial mapping system capable of creating a 3D map of a single vertical geometric plane using a time-of-flight (ToF) sensor and a stepper motor controlled by a microcontroller which ultimately output data as a 3D visualizer.

<aside> 🍃 The engineering scenario that we were given was The Roof Generator where we had to design a turbine for roofs to help residents in Calgary take advantage of the high winds and reduce their electricity bills. Our goal was to design turbine blades that were compact to fit on rooftops, affordable to construct and implement, and able to maximize efficiency.

<aside> 🤖 This project required our team to design a system that could transfer and secure a surgical tool into a set autoclave shape for sterilization. The teams was split into two sub-teams: modeling and computing. Our section was in charge of modeling a sterilization container capable of sterilization, securing the given suction tool, and be easily transferred by the robot arm's end effector.
